Elbow tendonitis can result from overuse or sports injury. Elbow tendonitis usually affects the tendons of the biceps, triceps or wrist flexor or extensor tendonitis. Three case studies in 'Tendon and Ligament Healing: A New Approach to Sports and Overuse Injury' illustrate recovery from elbow tendonitis. Pain at the lateral or medial epicondyle of the humerus is the most common symptom of elbow tendonitis. Tennis elbow or golfer's elbow are other well-known terms for elbow tendonitis. Osteopathic therapy consists of hands-on methods to align the tendon fibers, clear waste products, and reduce adhesions. This elbow tendonitis treatment is illustrated in the book. Computer use and other workplace activities are also frequent causes of elbow tendonitis that respond successfully to the innovative treatment in Tendon and Ligament Healing. . Related topics:
